RISE and PARTICIPATE
Our goal is to see lives changed for the better and to live in communities that we can be proud of. We realize that it’s going to take all of us working together to see the changes that we believe are possible. That’s why The Loop Learning Center has partnered with the Crime Victim Advocacy Center and The Bail Project. With every product purchase, you’re helping someone who may be going through the most difficult time of his or her life. Why not RISE and PARTICIPATE in helping to make the world a better place in your local area? www.supportvictims.org
CRIME VICTIM ADVOCACY CENTER (St. Louis, Mo) The effects of crime can be devastating – physically, financially, and psychologically – for weeks, months, and even years after the offense. CVAC helps victims and their families with many much-needed services: crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, community referrals, and much more—all free of charge.
THE BAIL PROJECT (St. Louis, MO) Poverty is not a crime. Yet, thousands of people who have not been charged of a crime sit in jails all across America simply because they cannot afford to pay bail. Unfortunately, low-income people and people of color disproportionality remain in jail while the wealthy buy their freedom. When a person can’t afford to pay bail, it can result in loss of job, home, and in some cases, even custody of their children. With your support, we’re able to help free individuals who would normally stay locked up—not because they have been charged with a crime, but simply because they can’t afford bail. www.bailproject.org
